JOB DESCRIPTION
1. To develop and maintain Credit risk Systems and solutions which enable the provision of Credit Lab functions and deliverables in support of business and operational divisions.
2. Contributing to high-level enterprise software design by adhering to development/design principles and quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Credit Model Development
1. Provide support to Credit Model Technicians in the development of credit risk models.
2. Assist in the development of calculation in credit models.
3. Advise on model development taking system design into consideration.
4. Develop credit models and tools from simple formats (eg. Excel) to more robust and appropriate formats for multiple users in various divisions.

Credit Lab Data warehouse
1. Integrate data sources with credit risk systems and the operating system of the bank (SAP, Cloud solutions).
2. Aggregate and organise data from sources into usable formats for storage and usage in the development of credit risk models.
3. Ensure accurate communication of data between credit systems, the operating system and data warehouse.

Credit System Platform
1. Design, construct and maintain an appropriate, efficient and cost-effective platform for the housing of credit risk models and tools. Designs and develops application solutions without supervision.
2. Recommends system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives
3. Confirms system/applications requirements by reviewing program objective.
4. Interprets specifications, technical designs, business process flow charts in order to build fault-free system.
5. Integrates applications by designing database architecture and server scripting, studying and establishing connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers. Integrates the application with other corporate data sources, applications, and knowledge management systems
6. Ensure the consistent provision of platform service in support of credit models and tools usage in the business and operational divisions.
7. Designs and develops user interfaces to applications (including Internet/intranet) by setting expectations and features priorities throughout the development life cycle.
8. Determines design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products.
9. Ensure reliability of the platform.
10. Document system specifications and maintain continuity of credit systems.
11. Ensures alignment with IT practices regarding disaster recovery. Ensures that application solutions are developed according to internal standards, external accrediting agency standards, and legal requirements.
12. Adheres strictly to the approved system development lifecycle.
13. Liaises with IT infrastructure services, in support of applications maintenance and development activities.
14. Compiles test plans and test cases/scenarios
15. Compiles and approves technical specifications
16. Compiles reports on test results and fault diagnosis of new applications/ systems
17. Provide user support for all tools on the credit systems.
18. Develop user manuals for credit risk systems implemented. Supports users by compiling user guides/manuals per new/updated release

Ad-Hoc Reporting
1. Source, aggregate and analyze data for ad-hoc reporting requests.
2. Ensure accuracy of ad-hoc reporting analysis and findings.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
EXPERTISE & TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Minimum Requirements
1. Qualifications or demonstrated ability to programme data solutions in SQL and Python.
2. A minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in programming and systems design. An advanced level of experience with technical architecture analysis. Ability to manage large scale deployments of systems/applications and integration of various technologies within these systems
3. Minimum of 5 years senior experience in Applications Management in financial services.
4. Minimum 5 years’ experience in Financial Systems Development and management in financial services.
5. Minimum 5 years’ experience in data/IT related project management.
6. Minimum 10 years’ experience with data quality and integrity.
7. Minimum 10 years’ experience with Financial Reporting.
8. Minimum 10 years’ experience in the development of Data warehouses and Data Lakes.
9. Minimum 10 years’ advance experience in SQL, .NET (C#).
10. Programming ability in C#, .NET, HTML, XML, Python, SQL, WSDL, R.
11. Experience within a data analyst team preferably in the financial sector or Development Finance Institution.
12. Be a specialist within the Microsoft environment.

Desirable Requirements
1. Experience in a Development Finance Institution will be a distinct advantage.
2. Experience as the team lead for the provision of financial data systems.
