MAIN JOB DESCRIPTION |
JOB ROLE Support and lead a variety of strategic efforts inclusive of playing a pivotal role in building of and monitoring & Evaluation of Corporate Strategic Plans and general Fundraising – leading the development and implementation of fundraising strategies and oversee fundraising initiatives
The role is responsible for the development and oversight of the organization’s corporate strategies in order to support growth objectives while strengthening the business systems capabilities to develop and maintain a competitive advantage.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Spearhead the overall corporate fundraising activities through expansion and diversifying revenue streams including writing funding proposals to realize potentially new or increased funding streams and produce strategies to develop these funds 2. Lead the fundraising planning process to produce effective strategies and achieve revenue targets across diverse revenue streams 3. Oversee the end-to-end strategic planning process by working with the respective managers in defining performance metrics and targets, designing new processes and establishing performance dialogues that cascade through the organisation based on data, developing dashboards that are data driven and ensuring alignment across all business units; 4. Work with departmental heads to establish and continuously review the organization’s key strategic priorities and translate them into strategic initiatives; 5. Implement data analytics platforms to help manage the organisation through data and to drive performance based on data and insights arising from deep analytics; 6. Build the required skills and knowledge for strategy development amongst departmental heads; 7. Work with business units’ heads to translate strategy into actionable and quantitative plans; 8. Lead the development and innovation of new strategic initiatives including the product lines and assist management in decision making; 9. Ensure alignment of the operating model to deliver value in line with the critical priorities, efficiency and growth priorities; 10. Continuously champion and communicate the Organization’s strategy to all staff; 11. Continuous monitoring and evaluation to ensure that the whole organization is working in line with the agreed strategies and priorities and there if focus on the chosen priorities to avoid distraction; 12. Facilitate all strategic planning processes, reviewing milestones and ensuring deadlines and KPIs across the Organization are met; 13. Deliver on performance requirements as defined in the Corporate Strategy, Corporate Balanced Scorecard and Personal Scorecard; 14. Maintain a healthy and updated enterprise wide projects portfolio dashboard with the ability to quickly generate management reports on the portfolio status at any point in time. 15. Oversee the benefits management process for all active projects within the portfolio. This includes regular review and updates of the business case for projects still in implementation stage and action to ensure benefits realization for all projects. These reports to be presented to management on a regular basis; and Expected to structure the projects into a coherent program for execution with a full program plan showing interdependencies and synergies across board and oversee execution of all the projects to their logical conclusion.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED: The jobholder must possess: 1. Relevant Bachelor’s Degree; MBA is an added advantage. 2. At least 7 years’ experience in a similar position, 4 of which should be in a managerial capacity in a busy environment. 3. Commercial and general management experience in a large institution preferably financial investment based 4. Strategic planning and ability to develop strategic plans Data analytics skills and experience in managing organizations through data.
