DESCRIPTION
The Transactional Lawyer will have the following responsibilities:
1. Providing legal advice to transactional deal teams in connection with equity and quasi-equity investments and other types of investment transactions
2. Drafting and reviewing legal documentation and engaging in due diligence
3. Negotiating with external counterparties
4. Supervising outside counsel
5. Other items to be determined by the General Counsel from time to time

| REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Essential Qualifications & Experience
1. At least 7 years post-qualification experience at a top-tier transactional law firm is required.
2. Substantial experience as an in-house counsel with a company that engages in investment transactions in emerging markets is preferred.
3. Significant experience in equity investment transactions required.
4. Experience in equity investments in infrastructure transactions is strongly preferred.
5. Experience in emerging markets equity transactions is strongly preferred.
6. Experience in fund formation and management is helpful.
7. Experience in infrastructure project financing is helpful.
8. Exemplary writing skills are required.
9. Strong interpersonal skills are required.
10. Ability to identify, assess and summarize legal, regulatory, commercial and operational risks
11. Business oriented.
12. Detail oriented, with an ability to distinguish among issues of varying priority

Language Requirements
Superior written and verbal communication skills in English. A working knowledge of French is preferable, but not required.
