JOB DESCRIPTION To review the IDD projects scope of work, client requirements, project objectives and constraints to develop the scheduling strategy for effective project delivery. Ensuring that programme and project teams in the Infrastructure Delivery Division are supported in the development of the project plan and translate the plan into a workable project schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Functional 1. Review the scope of work, client requirements, project objectives and constraints to develop the scheduling strategy for effective project delivery. 2. Develop an integrated plan to effectively execute the scope of work and meet project objectives by identifying schedule areas for the further definition of the scope of work. 3. Develop and implement the project Schedule Management Plan as well as provide inputs to the Project Execution Plans. 4. Prepare project specific procedures relating to schedule management and control. 5. Support the project team’s efforts in the development of the project plan and translate the plan into a workable project schedule including Master Schedules. 6. Analyse the project schedule for time impacts, delay analysis as well as forecasting (trend analysis, Including schedule reserve). 7. Provide early warnings to the project team by informing them of anticipated changes to the schedule as well as the outcome. 8. Develop options for corrective actions and/or acceleration opportunities. 9. Identify milestones and the critical path (including multiple / near critical paths). 10. Ensure schedule integration between all disciplines (Engineering and designE procurement and construction- including contractor and sub-contractor schedules. 11. Conduct Earned Value Analysis.. 12. Ensure regular maintenance, updating and reporting of the schedule. 13. Provide schedule project close out reports by recording the project’s historical schedule information and lessons learned for use in future projects

EXPERTISE & TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES Minimum Requirements 1. .Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Business Management or equivalent 2. Proven track record of excellent writing and presentation skills 3. 5-10 years relevant experience in a similar role as Project Planner/Scheduler in a project environment, preferably built environment. 4. Developing Project Master Schedules
Skills and Knowledge 1. Strong Project Management knowledge 2. EDMS knowledge and experience 3. Proficient in MS Office applications (MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS SharePoint, MS Word, MS PowerPoint 4. Extensive knowledge in implementation and using of Primavera P6
