JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client a top agritech startup company in Nigeria. They are currently looking to hire a Grant Manager in Lagos Nigeria.
JOB TO BE DONE
1. Act as point of contact between Grant funders and the organization to ensure smooth grant project execution.
2. The individual will be responsible for all aspects of the Grant process, from application to due diligence and implementation. As such, a solid end-to-end understanding of the grant process and experience managing and successfully achieving milestones for multifunctional companies/startups will be essential.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES AND ACTIONS
Include but are not limited to:
1. Strategic Direction
Lead the identification, application and liaison processes with Nigerian Banks and other donors
Build strategic model aligned with strong decker presentation to drive grants acquisition
Determine funding needs in collaboration with executive management team and research funding opportunities in alignment to funding needs of the organization.
2. Seamless Project execution
Leading the due diligence process by compiling and providing the required project/company documentation
Developing and implementing monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks for donor project implementation
Managing donor funding implementation, including reporting systems design, investor and donor report writing, renegotiation with funders, and project closure
Collecting and analysing data from relevant teams as required by donors
3. Grantee effectiveness
Compiling and reporting deliverables on time
Limiting project/financing roadblocks
Managing internal stakeholders to ensure project objectives and activities are achieved
4. Donor management
Acting as brand ambassador in all interactions with external stakeholders projecting competence, poise and professionalism
Managing relationships and expectations with donors and other external teams, ensuring commercial goals are not compromised.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Knowledge/experience working in Nigeria
2. Living in or willing to relocate to Lagos
3. 5+ years of development project implementation experience
4. 5+ years of donor project reporting experience
5. Excellent writing, research and analysis skill
6. Excellent stakeholder management
