DEPARTMENT: Administration & Support
SUPERVISOR: Practice Manager

JOB SUMMARY:
1. A file clerk will be responsible for the complete organization of all the files in a firm.
2. He/she will be responsible for ensuring that the firm has access to all of their case file at any time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. File paperwork in the appropriate area
2. Improve the accuracy of the filing system
3. Retrieve case file when it is requested
4. Input case file into an electronic database
5. Update records with new information
6. Perform regular quality checks on the file system
7. Keep logs of case file that is taken out
8. Ensure that sensitive information is safeguarded
9. Any other duties assigned by the Practice Manager
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
1. At least a degree in any subject
2. Great attention to detail and incredible patience to file correctly
3. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to stay organized
4. Knowledge of filing systems
5. Ability to implement new systems into the company
6. Ability to work independently
7. Great time management skills
