OUR CLIENT:
Our client, a professional services firm offering financial advisory, business advisory, business incubation services and investment management seek to employ a Business Advisory Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Strategy
1. Work with the company’s management to develop corporate strategy, operating model, product, operational, marketing and other related documents
2. Present deliverables to the management team for approval
3. Develop implementation plan and project manage the plan

Systems and processes
1. Identify gaps in the systems and processes of a company
2. Make plans to fill the identified gaps e.g. identify required resources
3. Lead the implementation of more efficient systems and processes
4. Monitor and ensure compliance to systems & processes
5. Research, data analytics & reporting
6. Identify the reports and key performance indicators tracked by the company
7. Develop data capture and reporting templates
8. Determine how data and information required for each report will be acquired o Ensure quality reports are generated as required
9. Analyze and interpret plan data for business and operational initiatives
10. Interpret the results and recommend ways to improve the business based on the reports

Finance
1. Support the finance team and management in the development of yearly budgets for the company
2. Assist in analyzing financials and providing recommendations to improve on them.
3. Support the finance and accounting functions of the company and portfolio companies o

Advisory
1. Develop business plan and investor related documentation
2. Provide business strategy, business consulting, business development and operations management support for our clients and portfolio companies, including assisting with getting new contracts, assist with hiring employees, assist with setting up new systems and processes or improving existing ones, project management, signing up new business partners, operations management etc.
3. Provide internal corporate development support to Octave and its sister companies.
4. Develop new business by building a contact base and introducing new business opportunities for the team. o Manage subordinates, clients and the general operations of the Company.
5. Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
6. Evaluate departmental performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.

Others
1. Play key role in KPI setting and management activities
2. Participate in other special and corporate projects of the company
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
1. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a notable university.
2. At least 5 years of relevant experience in management consulting/business advisory.
3. An MBA will be an added advantage.
4. Accounting and or financial experience will be a plus.
5. Supervisory/management experience is a plus. - Excellent project management, stakeholder management and team management skills are required.
