OUR CLIENT: Our client, a professional services firm offering financial advisory, business advisory, business incubation services and investment management, seeks to employ a Finance Associate.
JOB SUMMARY: 1. Develop financial models to support valuation, planning, operations, fundraising and forecasting 2. Develop business plan and investor related documentation 3. Develop and track financial and other pertinent KPI (key performance indicators) as required 4. Support the fundraising process from beginning to end. 5. Improve financial performance through analysis of financial results, forecasts, variances, and trends 6. Create recommendations to be presented to management and executives 7. Conduct comparable analysis and market research to support internal financial analysis 8. Aid in the capital budgeting and expenditure planning process
JOB DESCRIPTION 1. Financial and business model related 2. Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking 3. Develop business plan and investor related documentation 4. Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support 5. Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements 6. Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts 7. Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation 8. Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models
Investor and deal related 1. Source potential deals and investors 2. Assist to propose capital structure and deal structure options 3. Advice on optimal structure • Assist in developing investor marketing documents 4. Assist with preparing data room for warehousing due diligence information Fundraising related 1. Coordinate, follow up and manage potential and actual investors and clients 2. Lead data room development and management 3. Review fundraising related agreements and support negotiations as required 4. Project manage and play key role in implementation of conditions precedent to funds disbursement 5. Execute any other related tasks as required
Others 1. Support the finance and accounting functions of the company and portfolio companies 2. Play key role in KPI setting and management 3. Participate in other special and corporate projects of the company

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE 1. Minimum of a University degree in Accounting, finance or relevant field 2. At least 3 years of relevant experience in similar role e.g., investment banking, financial advisory etc. 3. Master’s in Business Administration & Finance will be an added advantage 4. CFA certification and other finance and/or accounting related certificates is a plus 5. Management consulting experience is a plus Competencies and Skills 6. Financial modelling experience 7. Good with numbers and figures
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES 1. Good understanding of and experience in accounting and financial reporting principles and practices 2. Good relationship management skills 3. Good analytical and problem-solving skills 4. Good report writing and oral communication skills 5. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools (Word, power point, etc.) 6.
