PURPOSE OF ROLE 1. The Digital Program Specialist - Software Development is a full-stack software specialist who will be responsible for designing and developing in-house systems for AIIB's business areas. 2. They will work in a start-up, fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment. 3. They will have the opportunity to be exposed to cutting-edge technology and a multilateral development bank’s business environment where they can hone skills in project implementation, communication, stakeholder management, planning, and risk management. 4. The specialist will serve as a member of the IT Department. 5. This role is onsite in Beijing, China. RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1. Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC). 2. Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions. 3. Design client-side and server-side architecture. 4. Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design. 5. Write well-designed, testable code. 6. Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications. 7. Test software to ensure responsiveness, efficiency, and security. 8. Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software. 9. Write technical documentation. 10. Conduct code review on the work of service providers, and ensure projects and deliverables comply with IT governance processes and procedures. 11. Define proper development process and coding standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS 1. Master’s degree equivalent or higher in computer science, software engineering or relevant field from a reputable university. 2. Minimum 6-8 years of experience in software development. 3. Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role. 4. Strong development skills in Core Java, J2EE, C++, .Net, Python, SOA-based Web Services, RESTful Web Services, XML and WSDL. 5. Good knowledge of multiple front-end languages and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Vue, Node.js). 6. Excellent knowledge of databases (e.g. Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB), SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate), web servers (e.g. Apache, Tomcat). 7. Experience developing web applications using Spring/SpringBoot/Spring MVC. 8. Familiarity with Microservice technology and Container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) 9. Good knowledge of design patterns. 10. Experience developing software systems for the financial industry. 11. Experience with test-driven development. 12. Ability to document requirements and specifications. 13. Ability to define development process and coding standards for development teams. 14. Keen to learn new technologies. 15.
