ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Be responsible for resource planning, budgeting, coordinating, managing and monitoring logistics operations such as trucks, transportation with desired efficiency and customer requirements and managing workshops. 2. Develop and implement a comprehensive logistics strategy aligned with the overall business goals. 3. Develop and manage strategies, processes and operation cost optimization. 4. Performance metrics monitoring & reporting, data analysis and audits for proactive planning and mitigation of risks. Implement and oversee logistics software and technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency. 5. Identify challenges and opportunities for process and operational improvements and cost reduction. Monitor inventory levels and manage efficient procurement and distribution. 6. Managing team of terminal manager, logistics manager, fleet & tracking supervisors, and truck drivers. 7. Managing and developing/ training team to improve efficiency and ensure smooth logistics operations. 8. Managing and developing workshops workforce and ensure maintenance procedures are followed and improved when necessary in accordance with standards of the industry. 9. Ensure optimal transportation activities such as routing, equipment’s health, driver management, reducing TAT (Turnaround Time) for each trip. Oversee the maintenance, scheduling, and utilization of the trucking fleet. 10. Implement preventive and proactive maintenance programs to ensure the safety and reliability of the fleet. 11. Ensure compliance with vehicle regulations and environmental standards. 12. Ensure optimized availability percentage of healthy trucks on the road and streamline the supply chain process to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of products. Optimize efficiency of tyres, and all other fleet consumables. 13. Ensure spare parts inventory are well managed under SAP and stock are properly maintained at their minimum level. 14. Ensure timely transport of MR containers/ spare parts from port/ airport to sites. 15. Manage permitting, licensing, and compliance requirements including ensuring required liaison and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. 16. Identify and mitigate risks related to transportation, including market volatility, weather related disruptions, and security issues. 17. Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential disruptions. 18. Maintain a strong focus on safety, adhering to safety standards and best practices.
