JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is a tech company that simplifies buying construction materials in Nigeria through an online platform, helping builders find quality supplies quickly and reliably. They are looking to hire a Capital Strategy & Finance Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead Fundraising Efforts:
1. Take charge of capital raising activities, leading efforts to secure equity, debt, and hybrid financing to fuel business growth, minimizing dilution and interest costs while maximizing flexibility.
2. Develop and present a compelling financial narrative to investors and effectively communicate the company's growth potential, financial health, and strategic vision through well-constructed financial models and forecasts.
3. Build and nurture long-term relationships with financial institutions, investors, and stakeholders to secure capital and ensure continuous access to funding.

Transform Finance into a Revenue-Generating Function:
1. Establish strategies that position the finance department not only as a support function but as a driver of revenue through efficient working capital management, treasury functions, and strategic financial investments.
2. Lead initiatives that enhance profitability by optimizing capital allocation, improving liquidity, and managing financial risks.

Optimization of Working Capital and Cash Flow:
1. Ensure optimal cash flow management through creative working capital solutions, negotiating better payment terms, and optimizing the accounts receivable/payable cycles.
2. Identify, secure, and structure working capital finance opportunities, managing relationships with financial institutions and other credit providers to negotiate favourable terms and credit facilities.
3. Implement cash forecasting models and monitor liquidity to ensure the company maintains sufficient cash reserves while minimizing borrowing costs.

Strategic Decision Support:
1. Provide strategic insights to the leadership team by breaking down the microeconomics of the business and conducting detailed profitability analysis.
2. Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models that forecast capital needs and provide actionable insights for decision-making.

Treasury and Investment Management:
Oversee the company’s treasury operations, ensuring efficient cash utilization and the management of surplus capital through prudent investment strategies.

Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure adherence to financial regulations, compliance standards, and risk management frameworks, protecting the company from potential financial risks.

Financial Strategy and Analysis:
1. Conducted detailed financial analyses to support capital-raising activities and investment decisions.
2. Develop and maintain robust financial models to forecast capital needs and evaluate financing options.
3. Perform profitability analysis and break down the microeconomics of the business to inform strategic decisions.
4. Any other tasks assigned to you.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
2. ICAN, ACCA, or CFA qualification is mandatory.
3. Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience, including investment banking, corporate
finance, or capital strategy roles.
4. Demonstrated success leading capital raises and structuring complex financial deals.
5. Deep expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
