JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is an indigenous software development company that provides feasible and reliable solutions to the stakeholders of the education sector aiming to transform education using technology. They currently have an opening for an Employee Relations Officer in Abuja.
JOB OVERVIEW 1. As an employee relations officer, you are responsible for maintaining the employer-employee relationships to ensure satisfactory productivity, motivation, and morale of the employees. 2. Overall, your role involves preventing and resolving problems that may arise out of or affect work situations. eventing and resolving problems involving individuals who arise out of or affect work situations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Collect and analyze employee data 2. Organize and update employee records 3. Onboard new employees 4. Oversee employee orientation and training activities 5. Prepare Monthly Pension Remittance 6. Prepare Monthly NHF Remittance, facilitate payment, file payment receipts, and ensure the monthly schedule is sent to the NHF as and when due 7. Draft Recruitment advertisement for vacancies 8. Participate in the selection process 9. Arrange employee physical examination 10. Represent the company at Job fairs 11. Conduct exit interviews for junior employees 12. Identify and resolve workplace Issues 13. Conduct Employee background checks and verify the information for incoming employees

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource or a related field 2. Member of a Human Resource professional body 3. Minimum of 2 years of previous experience in employee relations 4. Demonstrated knowledge of Nigerian Labour Law 5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills 6. Competency in Google Drive, including Google Doc, Sheets, Forms, etc. 7. Outstanding interpersonal skill 8. Good time management and organising skill 9. Good problem-solving skill 10. Excellent organizational skills and attention to details 11. Meticulous attention to details 12. Ability to work with and in teams
