JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is a construction company and they are looking for an ELV Technician (Operations).

JOB SUMMARY
1. They are looking for an electronic technician to install and commission ELV & ICT systems and devices. You’ll test system performance, analyze and report on results.
2. This role requires hands-on experience using various hand and power tools to calibrate and align system components and circuitry.
3. To succeed in this position, you should also be able to comprehend and follow complex technical manuals.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
1. Previous experience as an ELV technician, electrical technician or similar role
2. Hands-on experience with electronic testing and circuitry
3. Familiarity working with various tools and equipment
4. MS Office and diagnostic software (e.g. PC-based)
5. Excellent physical condition and hand-eye coordination
6. An associate’s degree or apprenticeship as electronic technician
7. Certification in electronics or electrical engineering is required

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
1. Undertake routine installations of ELV and ICT systems and appliances to standards required by IEE on occupied and void properties (interior and exterior).
2. Highlight any housing & containment management problems to other members of the team to allow the appropriate action to be taken.
3. Set up ELV & ICT electronic systems and devices.
4. Trace, diagnose and rectify faults using appropriate testing and measuring equipment, ensuring systems and appliances are left in a safe and serviceable condition.
5. Maintain test and commissioning equipment as required. To report any repairs highlighted as a result of the working in an occupied property to the area surveyor.
6. Maintain a clean and safe environment while working within an occupied property.
7. Where appropriate, provide instruction and supervision to apprentices.
8. Obtain customer feedback on completion of works when requested.
9. To work with external clients as required to complete repairs and maintenance of equipment 9
10. Collection and delivery of materials, including maintaining site stocks.
11. Use various tools to build and repair systems (e.g. drills, LAN testers, diagnostic tooling)
