ABOUT

The AIIB’s Investment Operations comprises of two regional teams, 1 and 2. Each regional team is led by a Vice President (VP) and reporting staff includes client relations specialists, technical specialists and bankers. Region 1 is responsible for South East Asia, Pacific Islands, and South Asia (except Pakistan and Afghanistan), while Region 2 covers Pakistan, Afghanistan, Central Asia, East Asia, West Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America.

JOB PROFILE
1. AIIB is looking for a Business Management Analyst to support the operations of the Office of the Vice President, Investment Operations Region 1 (VPIO1).
2. The Business Management Analyst will be responsible for providing operational and coordination support to the VPIO1, on all active and proposed work programs, internal reporting, drafting and business deliverables.
3. The selected candidate will assist IOVP1 on partnering with the relevant support functions in the Bank to deliver streamlined and efficient processes, align business goals and track results as well as strategic business development operations.
4. This position reports to the VPIO1 and supports all business agendas inside and outside the Bank.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist the Office of the Vice President, Investment Operations Region 1 (VPIO1) in enhancing efficiency of interactions with departments within Investment Operations Region 1 (IO1), and improving the interface with the other business units in the Bank.
2. Assist in preparing and managing the IO1 business plan, budget and staffing plan, and consolidate, coordinate, and prepare the respective reports.
3. Provide daily support to the Office of VPIO1 in delivering business plan objectives, supporting regular operations and the implementation of the integrated business plan and budget, and following up on critical initiatives and program progress. Take proactive and timely actions on problems and issues as they arise.
4. Assist the VPIO1 in reviewing policy papers, strategy papers, directives, and other operational documents and provide adequate background information and research as needed.
5. Act as Secretariat of IO1 Management meetings and the focal point of IO1 for the Investment Committee, the Executive Committee and other committees, and the Board of Directors; help prepare relevant reports and presentations in cooperation with other departments under VPIO1.
6. Support the VPIO1 in close cooperation with HR to ensure that HR-related policies and initiatives are implemented effectively and consistently within IO1, including recruitment, performance management, training, etc.
7. Assist in the VPIO1’s engagements with external counterparts, including governments, enterprises, media, NGOs, conference hosts, etc.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by the VPIO1.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
1. Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience in large international organizations. Working experience in multilateral development banks or financial institutions in regions covered by IO1 would be an added advantage.
2. Good understanding of infrastructure financing and investment operations, familiarity with relevant policies and procedures.
3. Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
4. Demonstrated ability to adapt and multi-task.
5. Excellent command of written and spoken English.
6. Outstanding communication skills and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate in a clear and succinct style.
7. Strong sense of responsibility, ethics, and integrity.
8. Bachelor’s degree preferably in business management, development studies, international relations, economics, or public administration is required.
