JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking to employ a suitably qualified Grant Manager for a Government Parastatal in Lagos State.

JOB SUMMARY
1. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the fund-raising team to make the grant process work effectively and efficiently, in an organization.
2. He/she will be tasked with developing programs to support the organization & strategic direction, as well as creating and managing long term goals, and will also oversee developing budgets and operating plans for programs and writing program funding proposals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for overseeing fundraising initiatives
2. Researching, preparing, submitting and managing grant proposals
3. Ensures that proposals meet the funders guidelines and requirements, and manages the relationship with the funder(s)
4. Responsible for compliance reporting –donor & Lagos State
5. Managing and supporting the grants requirement and implementation for the organization
6. Creating and managing long-term goals.
7. Developing and monitoring budgets and operating plan for the program.
8. Writing program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of services
9. Working on strategy with the marketing team
10. Identify and develop strategies to optimize the grants administration process
11. Designing grant programs.
12. Determining funding needs.
13. Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services.
14. Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
15. Researching funding opportunities.
16. Reporting to the board of directors.
17. Coordinating and engaging with grant writers.
18. Identifying support agencies
19. Optimizing the grant administration process.
20. Managing timelines and deliverables.
21. Tracking grant applications.
22. Work collaboratively with other members of the project team, liaising with other Managers in the stakeholder
23. Provide input into weekly/monthly reports for Project Management Office and Project Board.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
1. A bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Grants Administration, or related field
2. A minimum of five years experience in public grant administration, or grant writing, or budgeting, or funding source research, or project management, and in a non-profit organization
3. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
4. Previous experience working with a Board or Governing council
5. Good writing and editing skills.
6. Good understanding of the organizations overall business and its objectives.
7. Possess good knowledge of planning and strategizing financial and budgeting issues.
