OVERVIEW The New Development Bank (“NDB”) provides opportunities to qualified and motivated young professionals to develop their professional skills and expertise in a dynamic multicultural environment, and is inviting applications for the positions of Young Professional and Junior Professional, which are the entry-level positions for professional staff.
Based on the business needs of NDB, as well as the assessment on the competencies of the highly qualified and motivated candidates, the successful candidates will be assigned to a specific Department/Division of NDB, and the grade will be determined at the end of the recruitment process. Young Professionals and Junior Professionals are full-time regular staff and will have a four-year employment contract with NDB. PURPOSE OF THE JOB 1. Under the leadership and guidance of the Director General and Chiefs in Finance, Budget and Accounting Department, and other experienced professionals, who will be assigned as mentors, the Junior Professional/Young Professional will multitask and gain valuable on-the-job experience. 2. The Department is responsible for preparing Financial Statements, managing Treasury & Loan Back Office, and finalizing & monitoring Budgets of the Bank. 3. The department is also expected to create a culture of cost consciousness, share analytics & insights to management and lead transformations that continuously help the finance function to be efficient & effective. 4. The team should continually strive to adopt leading edge practices that make it stand out on key performance metrics among peers. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to: 1. Focusing on supporting several automation initiatives related to manual processes in Loan Management processing; 2. Responsible for LMS functional management; 3. Other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
1. For Young Professional: minimum of 3 years of relevant full-time professional experience (excludes summer/winter jobs, internship, traineeship, articleship, etc.). 2. For Junior Professionals: minimum 1 year of relevant full-time professional experience is preferred. The relevant full-time professional experience excludes summer/winter jobs, internship, traineeship, articleship, etc. Candidates with less than one-year full-time professional experience, and fresh graduates who have obtained the education degrees, as required by NDB, could also be considered. 3. Knowledge of financial service sector, infrastructure sector, financial accounting principles, financial reporting standards and their applications within the different member countries is desirable. 4. Prior experience in loans operations would be an advantage. 5. Analytical and systematic with strong numerical skills and attention to details. 6. Master’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant professional field from a reputed university or a professional qualified accountant.
