JOB PURPOSE 1. The purpose of the position is to build and deploy credible business intelligence reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI. The Power BI capability will focus on converting business data from the SAP system into user friendly story telling reports and dashboards. These reports and dashboards should connect to IDCs SharePoint and other internal data sources and platforms (SAP, Power Apps, MS Teams, etc). 2. The role requires the incumbent to prepare reports on an ad hoc basis to other internal and external stakeholders timeously. These requests are normally outside of the existing reports and dashboards. 3. The position further requires ongoing liaison between IDC SAP Specialists, SAP Developers (IT) and IDC Operations end users (SBUs). This includes the identification of SAP enhancements and assist with testing of enhancements to the SAP pipeline and reports. 4. The position includes the active involvement and management during the completion of the annual integrated report (audit), verification of SAP approvals data to ensure data integrity, communicating new SAP management reporting requirements to the Operations SAP team, and the development and maintenance of Corporate, Regional and other dashboards.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Key performance areas include: 1. Efficiently handle large sets of data and be able to process them into required operational dashboards and reports 2. Locate, review and validate data and reports against quality standards before being distributed to Line Manager and other stakeholders 3. Create and maintain corporate, regional and other dashboards at required intervals 4. Produce insightful presentations to assist OPS Heads, Regional Managers and Executives 5. Active involvement with compiling the Annual Integrated Report (Audit) 6. Provide credible ad hoc management information to internal and external stakeholders timeously 7. Identify new report requirements and enhancements of existing reports and dashboards 8. Project Management and co-ordination of the implementation of new SAP developments between Operations and IT department. 9. Business Process Analysis to enable the preparation of functional and technical specifications for new SAP developments and enhancements to the existing SAP functionality by utilising digital technologies 10. Assist the SAP team with initial testing once IT department has completed the development of SAP functionality. 11. Oversee IDC Operations Power BI capability and train colleagues to become proficient with Power BI 12. Actively participate in our culture of continuous development and innovation by contributing ideas for new features and functionality 13. Ensuring the security and confidentiality of all data, information, and documents used in compiling BI reports and dashboards.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Minimum qualification: relevant commercial degree and a data analytics qualification.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 1. Strong and proven data analytical skills, critical thinking and a passion for big data 2. 5 to 8 years SAP end user experience. 3. 5 to 8 years proven experience in a data-related or business intelligence position. 4. Proficiency in data mining business intelligence tools (Power BI), data processing frameworks and report writing 5. A working understanding or mastery of automation and database management 6. Able to leverage different technologies such as SAP and SQL and data visualisation platforms 7. A business savvy approach to data and its uses in the IDC Operations 8. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities while building effective relationships 9. Proven expert MS Excel skills 10. Experience in creating dashboards and impeccable presentations
