OUR CLIENT
Our client, a global marketing and corporate communications company, seeks to employ a Head, IT.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage the company’s technology operations and the implementation of new IT systems and policies.
2. Create and implement IT policies and systems that will meet objectives.
3. Oversee all technology operations (e.g., network security) and evaluate them according to established goals.
4. Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by management.
5. Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs.
6. Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software.
7. Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency.
8. Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to upper management.
9. Coordinate IT managers and supervise computer scientists, technicians and other professionals to provide guidance.
10. Ensure and drive efficient Data backup system.
11. Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts.
12. Provide leadership in technology portfolio for enablement and innovation.
13. Manage a portfolio of technology projects to meet cost, scope, and schedule constraints.
14. Develop policies for internal IT operations to drive attainment of SLAs.
15. Manage and support delivery of software and hardware operations and projects.
16. Enable process efficiency of back-office operations.
17. Drive innovation for front office or core business operations by recommending viable technologies

| REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
1. Bachelors degree or equivalent and 5-7 years experience
2. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) *Required*
3. CompTIA Security+ *Required*
4. Extensive experience in IP data networking, switching, routing, security, etc.
5. Ability to analyze, configure, and maintain a complex Local Area Network (LAN).
6. Solid working knowledge of routing concepts (including OSPF, EIGRP, Multicast), switching concepts (including STP, VTP, Trunking), and security concepts (including SNMP, 802.1x, ACLs)
7. Experience with Network management tools such as CiscoWorks, Foundry IronView or EMC SMARTS InCharge.
8. Strong organizational, problem-solving, written and written communication skills.
9. Ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly and apply that knowledge effectively.
10. Ability to work both independently and with a team to manage multiple tasks and projects.
11. Ability to create technical documentation and network diagrams as deliverables
12. Working knowledge of MS Office and MS Visio
