JOB PURPOSE: Perform administration of IDC loans, general reconciliations and maintenance of allocated portfolio.
KEY FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE: 1. Capturing of key data from signed agreements accurately and within the month of receipt; 2. Processing of disbursement and other payments timeously and accurately; 3. Allocation of incoming monies timeously, accurately and completely in the month of receipt; 4. Processing of refunds and early settlements; 5. Implement non-complex deferments and restructurings 6. Implement non-complex CAMs 7. Ensuring the timely resolution of client queries and IMC issues; 8. Preparation of necessary journals in order to clear GL accounts; 9. Perform ad-hoc reconciliations and other tasks as and when requested; 10. Perform ad-hoc corrections of accounts as and when required; 11. Pro-active performance of housekeeping issues such as clearing credits on client accounts 12. Provide good standard of customer service to both internal and external clients. Exceed customer expectations. This may include meeting with external clients from time to time. 13. Contribute to team, be willing to do more and assist others, have a sense of urgency. 14. Partake in work groups for different strategies, when required. 15. Understand and interpret agreements and other legal documentation and correctly apply the data and changes in the SAP system. 16. REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 1. A post matric certificate in Accounting is essential 2. Diploma or Degree in accounting will be an added advantage
Knowledge and Experience Requirements: 1. 2-3 years’ experience in an accounting role (preferably Loans/Debtors) 2. Exposure to the SAP environment (preferably SAP Loans Management). 3. Good understanding of the preparation of General Ledger Journals. 4. Good understanding of Microsoft Excel.
Competencies and skills 1. Ability to work independently and to perform under pressure. 2. Good written and verbal communication skills. 3. Ability to liaise and engage with both internal and external clients. 4. Sense of urgency and deadline driven. 5. Detail orientation and ability to analyse numerical data. 6.
