GIZ International Services is shortlisted for the EU-funded tender: „Med Dialogue for Rights and Equality (Phase II).”
The overall objective (Impact) to which this action contributes is: • To foster and promote a functioning pluralistic and participatory democracy in the Southern Neighbourhood countries.
The specific objectives (Outcomes) of this contract are as follows: To improve the skills of civil society leaders in policy making process, policy dialogue and advocacy To support the EU and CSOs in the Southern Neighbourhood in their structured dialogue with the European Union -in close collaboration with the Framework Partners4 and the EU Delegations5 To improve the DG NEAR HQ and EU Delegations’ capacities to work with civil society It should be noted that the development of synergies with FPAs and the EUDs6 is mandatory (second specific objective) for the TA contract. The practical modalities will be defined during the inception phase.
YOUR TASKS Key Expert 3 will mainly be responsible for the communication activities in cooperation with KE1 and KE2: 1) Management of the existing Med Dialogue website and its e-library in cooperation with the FPAs (although the FPAs will have their separate website, the Med Dialogue website should promote also the structured dialogue; the current website is foreseen to be handed over and it is in open-source software); 2) Support to FPAs in the communication activities; 3) Conception and drafting of communication supports of the dialogue events.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
YOUR PROFILE Qualifications and skills 1) Academic profile: Bachelor-level university degree or equivalent (i.e. 4 years of relevant professional experience following secondary education), fields of communication, international relations or social sciences will be an asset 2) Fluency in English and Arabic is mandatory. Knowledge of French as a working language will be an asset. General professional experience At least 3 years of working experience, out of which at least 2 years of professional experience in an international or regional context (in addition to the years of relevant professional experience required to compensate for the absence of a university degree). Specific professional experience 1) At least 2 years of working experience in designing and developing digital content, civic tech solutions and/or IT applications. 2) Previous experience in communications and similar events is mandatory. 3) Previous experience in the Neighbourhood south region is mandatory.
LOCATION INFORMATION The location of the office, where the team will be based, shall be indicated in the Technical Offer and will constitute the base of operations. The choice of the location should be fully motivated and take into account the accessibility factor and strengthen the project’s ownership by partner countries. Office location must be in one of the Southern Neighbourhood countries (for the team leader and one of the KE). Field missions shall be carried out in conformity with the agreed action plan.
Start date & period of implementation The intended start date is 1 January 2023 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 42 months from this date (Indicative: 300 working days).
