For our operations in MENA region, we are looking for an Expert (m/f/d) for Information and Communication
Field of activity
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a state owned organisation. We work worldwide in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. GIZ International Services (InS) is an integral division of GIZ. We offer the experience, the regional and technical know-how of GIZ in the global market and provide international clients with expertise in terms of economic and result-oriented services.
YOUR TASKS
GIZ International Services is shortlisted for the EU-funded tender Support to Green Electrons and Molecules (GEM) developmentin the Southern Neighbourhood in the MENA region.
The overall objective of the project of which this contract will be a part is as follows:
1. to support the energy transition in the Southern Neighbourhood countries and contribute to overcoming socioeconomic and climate issues in the region.
2. The specific objective is to create and operate a Mediterranean Green Electrons & Molecules (MED-GEM) Network in the Southern Neighbourhood region by convening dialogue and collaborative activities between key energy stakeholders, in order to facilitate and promote the growth of the GEM industry at regional level.

| REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
YOUR PROFILE
Qualification and skills:
1) Master’s degree in communication/journalism or equivalent.
2) Fluency in Arabic, English, and French.
General professional experience:
1) At least seven years of professional experience in dealing with communication campaigns on policy issues, targeting various types of audience (national administrations, private sector, universities, media).
2) Experience in the area of information technology with a track record in the field of information collection, updating and dissemination through a web portal will be an asset.
Specific experience:
1) At least two years of experience in the design and implementation of communication
projects/programmes in the Southern Neighbourhood countries.
2) Proven experience on energy, renewable energy and climate change related issues will be an asset.
3) Participation in EU-funded projects on communication will be an asset
