JOB ADVERT SUMMARY 1. Reporting to the Executive: Company Secretary, the focus of this role is to take responsibility for all the company secretarial work for the subsidiary companies of the Land Bank Group and to assist with company secretarial work for the Land Bank Group. 2. The role primarily encompasses the day-to-day administration of Land Bank subsidiaries, and with assisting the Executive: Company Secretary with company secretarial work related to the Group.
JOB SUMMARY Lead and drive the creation and management of a bank wide knowledge information hub in terms of the Agricultural economic sector, different commodity types and their geography to ensure the continuous availability of consistent, up to date enterprise financial information. Provision of expert input in terms of the standardisation of Agricultural business principles and best practice and ensure the embedding of efficient and effective processes and standards. The development of financial models through benchmarking and process analysis and thorough research of historical financial information and data industry norms and trends in support of the establishment of a standardised approach across the organisation.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Development and coordination of Land Bank Financial Enterprise Intelligence 1. Develop, implement and execute on an agricultural support service as aligned to the Land Bank Corporate plan with emphasis on farming enterprise financial intelligence 2. Design and implement a best-fit distribution model for appropriate information and decision making purposes. 3. Analysis and interpretation of raw data from numerous sources and convert this into information which can be substantiated. Analysis of farming enterprise budgets and provide up to date information in terms of findings 4. Establish and manage workgroup forum for benchmarking best practice principles and data.
Coordinates and facilitates commodity and related Financial Enterprise Research 1. Develop a framework for collecting information as well as the identification and structuring an appropriate network for execution. 2. Responsible for agricultural economic conditions analysis (international, national, regional and local) for the primary agriculture sector. 3. Research and interpret enterprise data requests from stakeholders and provide appropriate expert opinion thereon. 4. Develop templates and implement training and coaching of deal originators of information
Stakeholder Management 1. Identification, interaction and appropriate relationship management with all levels of internal (CDB, legal, Corporate, Research & Development, Strategy) and external stakeholders Agbiz, AgriSA, ARC, BFAP, Commodity representation and members of small holder farmers representation, Department of Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries and Department of Rural Development & Land Reform. 2. Develop mechanisms for sourcing feedback from internal and external stakeholders 3. Provide support and inputs in terms of technical and financial agricultural principles by ensuring the continuous industry information / data as well as a defined, utilised and best practice knowledge hub to support business decision making 4. Build and maintain effective stakeholder relations to support the business and promote awareness and understanding of sound agricultural and economic principles and standards.
Reporting 1. Compilation of high level reports for management decision making including: 2. emphasis on farming enterprise financial intelligence 3. Analysis, consolidation and compilation of expert opinions 4. Presentation to stakeholders as and when appropriate 5. Stakeholder reporting in terms of trends within the business, the industry and lessons learnt. 6. Ensure reports are submitted in accordance with policies, procedures and legal requirements and within the allocated period.
