JOB ADVERT SUMMARY 1. Reporting to the Executive: Company Secretary, the focus of this role is to take responsibility for all the company secretarial work for the subsidiary companies of the Land Bank Group and to assist with company secretarial work for the Land Bank Group. 2. The role primarily encompasses the day-to-day administration of Land Bank subsidiaries, and with assisting the Executive: Company Secretary with company secretarial work related to the Group.
JOB SUMMARY 1. To provide environmental due diligence expertise to the Land Bank Operational Divisions of the Bank to enhance sustainable agricultural investments and support the due diligence process for both frontline business as well as PMS. 2. To coordinate assessments, monitoring and management of environmental and social risks associated with Land Bank’s investments.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Assessment and management of environmental and social risks 1. Supports business in the implementation of the Bank’s Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) and application of its implementation guidelines and tools 2. Conduct Environmental and Social (E&S) due diligence for all applications categorised as intensive (i.e. categories A and B) 3. Conducts environmental and social auditing of farms categorized as A and B. 4. Participate in Credit meetings, where necessary, to validate E&S due diligence and necessary E&S clauses to be included in clients contracts
Monitoring of environmental and social risks 1. Conducts field monitoring for E&S compliance 2. Produces monitoring reports
Reporting on environmental and social performance 1. Produces environmental and social performance reports for Land Bank and other investors such as World Bank, AfDB, kfw, where necessary. 2. Coordinates and collates information required for sustainability reporting.
Advise on Environmental and Social Risks and Opportunities 1. Identifies potential environmental and social risks and opportunities. 2. Identifies research requirements to address environmental and social risks and to harness opportunities. 3. Identifies ESMS training requirements for Land Bank. 4. Reviews relevant national legal framework and global sustainability principles and recommends necessary updates in the ESMS and implementation guidelines and tools.
ESS Stakeholder liaison 1. Raises ESMS awareness within Land Bank as well as with external stakeholders 2. Coordinates ESS Advisory Committee
