PURPOSE OF ROLE
1. Under the leadership and guidance of the Chief, Credit Risk, and other experienced professionals, who will be assigned as mentors, the Junior Professional/Young Professional will multitask and gain valuable on-the-job experience, undertake broad financial risk assignments and are expected to make significant contributions towards the work programs of the Department/Division while gaining a broad overview of the NDBs policies, procedures, and work.
2. The incumbent will work on the general risk topics as well as on the specific assignments within the Credit Risk Division.
3. The Junior Professional/Young Professional will work with other team members on the development and implementation of a comprehensive risk management framework to control and mitigate potential credit risk for the Bank including assessing, monitoring, mitigating and reporting credit risk in line with the Bank’s policies.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:
1. Contribute with enhancements, maintenance and validation of the quantitative models and methodologies (Risk-based Pricing, Expected Credit Loss, Economic Capital, etc.) for assessing and quantifying credit risk in accordance with the Bank’s policies and market best practices.
2. Develop and maintain credit risk management tools and dashboards in digital platforms (e.g. Power BI) with due attention to data management (collection, cleansing and aggregation).
3. Assist in the credit risk management of treasury activities, including monitoring of relevant market information, preparation of portfolio reports, clearing of counterparties, limits setup and streamline and automation of process related to treasury portfolio and collateral management.
4. Review and discuss the credit risk provisions in ISDA/GMRA/CSA documentation with Treasury and Portfolio Management Department.
5. Contribute to the review of internal policies and guidelines applicable to credit risk management.
6. Participate in discussions with internal and external auditors, compliance as well as other stakeholders outside of the Credit Risk.
7. Other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
POSITION requirements
1. For Young Professional: minimum of 3 years of relevant full-time professional experience (excludes summer/winter jobs, internship, traineeship, articleship, etc.).
2. For Junior Professionals: minimum 1 year of relevant full-time professional experience is preferred. The relevant full-time professional experience excludes summer/winter jobs, internship, traineeship, articleship, etc. Candidates with less than one-year full-time professional experience, and fresh graduates who have obtained the education degrees, as required by NDB, could also be considered.
3. Understanding of banking and treasury products along with credit risk associated with those. Experience in credit analysis of corporate counterparties will be desirable.
4. Excellent programming skills (Python, R, etc.) and knowledge as well as hands-on experience in Microsoft Power BI.
5. Good understanding of counterparty credit risk and familiar with the credit measures for derivatives.
6. Knowledge of ISDA/GMRA/CSA documentation including the mechanics of collateral arrangements is desirable.
7. Exceptional problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills with high resilience and drive in achieving objectives and goals. Highly driven, eager to learn and innovative.
8. Relevant experience in a multi-cultural work environment fostering a climate of teamwork and collaboration.
9. Master’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant professional field from a reputed university.
