JOB DESCRIPTION The project aims to improve the socio-economic self-reliance of refugees and host communities in the Turkana West Sub-county in Kenya. Access to information relevant to the labor market, job-promoting qualification measures, business-related services and support offers in Turkana West are to be expanded and improved.
YOUR TASKS Building the technical as well as institutional capacity of local, state and other stakeholders on design, planning and implementation of women economic empowerment activities 1. Advise and support Partner Organisations as well as the ProSEET project in developing tools, projects, programmes and strategies on women economic empowerment 2. Coordination of various stakeholders involved in women economic empowerment 3. Establishing networks and linkages with relevant women economic empowerment actors (civil society, private sector and others) for improved coordination and harmonisation 4. Planning, preparing and organising workshops, sector working groups meeting relevant to women economic empowerment including facilitating a regular exchange of lessons learned between local actors involved in the women economic empowerment 5. Monitoring and reporting of activities and milestones achieved regarding women economic empowerment 6. Development of data collection and management tools, including updating of tools and capacity development of partner organisations staff on data collection structures 7. Developing new activities and innovations aimed at strengthening women economic empowerment

YOUR PROFILE 1. University degree or professional qualification in social sciences, economics, social work, or similar 2. Experience in high challenging, remote environment 3. Good knowledge in women economic empowerment combined with initial practical professional experience and initial experience in the field of development/international cooperation 4. Proven knowledge, as well as experience and understanding of development projects in humanitarian contexts 5. Experience abroad (East Africa as advantage) and experience in working in intercultural contexts 6. Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills 7. Very good command of MS Office programmes 8. Fluent in English; German would be an asset
