We are seeking to recruit a competent and highly motivated individual with extensive experience and abilities to support business growth in the following position. PURPOSE 1. The role holder is responsible for Product Validation, Profit/Loss as well as Balance sheet and internal reporting, analysis and controls on Foreign Exchange, Money Market, Equities, Fixed Income and Derivatives. 2. The role is also expected to provide technical support to Treasury business, perform independent valuations on trading assets as part of the price verification analysis besides close day-to-day communication with the trading desk, support functions, and management. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES The incumbent will report to Head-Treasury Middle office and will be responsible for: P&L and Balance sheet substantiation - 80% 1. Daily Profit and Loss (PL) analysis and reporting. 2. Preparation of market commentaries to explain significant PL movements and events 3. Reconciliation of income statement and balance sheet to risk systems 4. Price verification and analysis to ensure pricing to fair value as required for mark-to-market accounting 5. Liaise with other areas internal and external of Finance to ensure consistent adherence to policies and procedures. 6. Coordinate resolution of issues with cross functional teams, including front office, market risk, and operations 7. Perform analysis for ad hoc requests regarding regulatory, valuation, margins, risk and operational concerns. 8. Perform control checks at transaction level. 9. Prepare Accounting events related to Product that the bank supports. 10. Focus on control for all Product Control deliverables. 11. Participate in systems enhancement and/or implementation. 12. Contribute to process improvements in Product Control function. 13. Perform daily, monthly, quarterly & annually additional Treasury checks impacting P & l & Balance sheet. Monitoring trading activity - 20% 1. Circulate key daily, weekly & monthly MIS to senior management. 2. Ensure clean audit results from internal and external reviews. 3. Identify and drive process re-engineering and constantly challenge status quo for control improvement and process efficiency. 4. Be part of the team in delivering continuous improvements. 5. Develop/design appropriate reports to provide appropriate information which identifies the risk positions and profit and loss profile of Treasury. 6. Re-engineer existing Product control processes so as to capitalize on improved systems capability and functionality.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS Academic qualifications 1. Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent in Finance, Accounting or related field. 2. CPA or public accounting experience preferred 3. ACI Dealing/Settlement or Risk certified an added advantage.
Experience 1. 3 years exposure to Treasury environment. 2. Audit background will be an added advantage. 3. Conversant with General International accepted accounting practice.
Skills & attributes 1. Proficiency in system architecture and information management, all Microsoft Office suites, external market data services, emphasis on Excel as a functional analytical tool. 2. Ability to articulate, multi-task and defend viewpoint on issues and results of analysis. 3. Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals. 4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
