JOB PROFILE The Financial Analytics Officer performs financial projections, analytics, modelling scenarios and reports, all in accordance with the institutional strategy and framework, in order to assist management to make informed decisions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Data collection & analysis 1. Performs standard financial projections duties and analysis on a regular basis; interprets raw data and information, and prepare management reports related to financial results and targets. 2. Performs ad hoc analyses that drive strategic business decisions. 3. Analyzes data and financial and business metrics to monitor performance and assist Management in achieving objectives. 4. Investigates variances between actuals and projections and/or forecasts to understand trends and potential risks and opportunities. 5. Monitors and assesses key performance indicators. 6. Develops and maintains strong understanding of the financial performance for all areas of the organization.
Stakeholder management and engagement 1. Creates effective business relationships across the organization through monthly financial deliverables and meetings to maintain accuracy of financial forecasts. 2. Communicates financial data in reports, narratives and through visual representations. 3. Assists in the design of periodic financial reviews to drive business change as well as continuous reporting on innovation and automation.
Reporting 1. Prepares periodic reports, dashboards, and analyses on the organization, including cash flow projections, scenarios analysis, forecasts and financial performance. 2. Develops and maintains key financial reporting metrics.
Budget planning 1. Support planning and preparing the administrative and CapEx budget budget records, in accordance with the institutional strategy and framework. 2. Preparation of comparative and variance analysis on Budget implementation and utilization. 3. Supports application of the best financial management practices: budgeting standards, costing methodologies, resource projections, variance analysis and cost allocation. 4. Contributes to budget systems and processes enhancements, to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of delivering the organizational mandate.
Capability building 1. Contributes to the strengthening and capacity building of the Fund by developing and improving management and organizational processes and procedures; automations and system enhancements and participates in the committee(s) relevant to these matters. 2. Carries out other tasks assigned by the supervisor that are related to the job function.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 1. Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance/Business, majoring in Accounting, Financial Analysis, Business Administration or other relevant fields. 2. Recognized financial/accounting certification such as the CFA. 3. A minimum of five years relevant professional experience. 4. Preferably 2-3 years of experience in an international financial institution. 5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German. A good working knowledge of Arabic, French, and/or Spanish is an asset.
