PURPOSE OF ROLE
1. Reporting to the Chief, Strategy and Policies, these positions will actively support NDB’s businesses and activities, helping ensure that use of resources are aligned with the Bank’s strategic priorities.
2. The position will play a role in the Bank’s strategic engagement and analyses on relevant issues, contributing to enhance its visibility in the international financial arena.
3. Successful candidates are also expected to contribute to the process of membership expansion and represent NDB in MDB-led working groups and international forums.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:
1. Contribute to NDB’s external engagement with international forums and MDB-led working groups, development platforms, committees of funds for infrastructure development, and other joint initiatives involving NDB’s member countries;
2. Engage with shareholders and other stakeholders and coordinate internal efforts for NDB’s effective participation in external activities;
3. Represent NDB at the G20 and MDB-led working groups as well as development platforms, committees of funds for infrastructure development, and other forums and joint initiatives involving NDB’s member countries
4. Prepare and ensure effective communication of the Bank’s mandate and strategy to external stakeholders, including partner development banks, with a view to promoting Bank’s objectives.
5. Collaborate in NDB’s technical efforts and negotiations related to membership expansion.
6. Provide regular updates and reports on strategic engagement to Departments and Divisions.
7. Review external developments to anticipate challenges and opportunities for the Bank. Conduct relevant research on topics pertaining to the Division’s activities.
8. Help the Bank in the development of a culture of innovation and change, including the incubation of new financial/non-financial products and business lines.
9. Other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
POSITION Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience for Professional level; minimum 7 years of relevant experience for Senior Professional level; minimum 9 years of relevant professional experience for Principle Professional level.
1. Relevant experience in a multilateral development bank or equivalent, or private sector company, or public sector institution, or academic/research institution, or leading global consulting firms.
2. Knowledge and experience in data collection, analysis and interpretation, building indicators, reporting and providing support for data driven decision-making.
3. Experience in rules, policies and regulations, general management, theory of the firm.
4. Knowledge of Corporate Strategy, Business Plan, Corporate Finance, Financial Management, Budgeting.
5. Relevant experience in a multi-cultural work environment.
6. Proven ability and willingness to work in a climate of teamwork and collaboration;
7. Exceptional drafting and communication skills, strategic thinking, problem solving, conflict management, and interpersonal skills with high resilience and drive in achieving objectives and goals.
8. Familiarity with operations, policies and processes of international financial institutions is a plus.
9. Experience in international affairs, economics of infrastructure, fiscal policy, international monetary system, and international financial architecture.
10. Relevant experience in a multi-cultural work environment.
11. Proven ability and willingness to work in a climate of teamwork and collaboration;
12. Exceptional drafting and communication skills, strategic thinking, problem solving, conflict management, and interpersonal skills with high resilience and drive in achieving objectives and goals.
13. Familiarity with operations, policies and processes of international financial institutions is a plus.
14. Master’s Degree or equivalent in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or a relevant professional field from a reputed university.
