PURPOSE:
This role entails underwriting general classes of insurance for both bank and non-bank clients, to offer wholesome insurances which in return increases and retains income to Bancassurance.
KEY PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Reviewing insurance applications for compliance and adherence.
2. Placing businesses with Insurers
3. Preparing renewal schedules and obtaining quotes for competitive insurance premiums and sharing with Clients
4. Obtaining rates from the insurance companies and preparing quotation for new businesses
5. Arranging, preparing of renewal register and renewing of existing businesses
6. Creating Customers in CRM system, debiting/endorsing policies in GIS system
7. Checking policy documents to ensure the terms, conditions and warranties are favorable to our clients.
8. Regular dispatching of policy documents and endorsements to Customers,
9. Following up on documents from various insurers after placing covers
10. Timely issuance of Motor Certificates and sharing with Customers

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Academic Qualifications
College Diploma and Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance
Professional Qualifications
1. At least 5 years relevant experience.
2. Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance or an equivalent professional qualification
Skills and Attributes
1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
2. Excellent knowledge of insurance policies and ability to relate policy provisions
3. Ability to make logical, rational and sound judgment.
4. Team Player
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
6. Basic data analysis skills
7. Self-driven individual
