ABOUT
I&M Bank Uganda is a commercial bank headquartered at Kampala Road plot 6/6A with a growing regional presence. The Bank offers a wide range of commercial banking and financial products and services, and prides itself on introducing innovative products and services based on the needs of its customers. We are seeking to recruit a competent and highly motivated individual with extensive experience and abilities to support business growth in the following position:

JOB PURPOSE
To market the Bank’s products through pro-active and consultative approaches with the aim of acquiring profitable new Banking business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Inbound NTB/ETB sales
1. Address walk-in NTB Clients (any segment) sales needs, pull generated from catchment campaigns and word of mouth.
2. Activate NTB clients, and set up and educate clients on remote channel usage i.e. Internet banking, Fast pay, contact centre, ATM.

Listen, explain &sell
1. Understand needs
2. Explain respective banking proposition that fits their ongoing need.

Deep sell
Immediately broaden the conversation to include all products.

Prepare, set up & activate
1. When required documents are available
2. Conduct KYC
3. Open account/activate products
4. Tag clients to the right segment.

Service
Fulfil basic service needs and pass on rest to CSO.

Deepening activities
1. Listen, explain& sell.
2. Understand the needs of the clients
3. Explain proposition that fits need (respond to client need and do next best conversation)
4. Refer for specialized needs
5. Pre-identified employees from employers targeted by WPB
6. Employees (no pre-identification) from employers targeted by WPB.
7. Reaching out pro-actively for lower value businesses

TARGET CLIENTS
1. SME, High Net worth and personal with simple product needs (e.g. Business account Txn account, personal lending, CASA) and simple KYC requirements.
2. Deepening needs of personal clients.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
Minimum Education Qualification:
1. A Bachelor’s Degree preferably from a recognized university.
2. A post graduate degree or a professional qualification will be an added advantage.

Work Experience:
1. 1 year’s work experience in the banking sector
2. Experience in sales and cash handling.

1. In-depth knowledge of banking industry
2. Knowledge of banking products
3. Understanding KYC
4. Knowledge of Credit and Marketing
5. Interpersonal skills
6. Effective Interpersonal Skills
