ABOUT I&M Bank Uganda is a commercial bank headquartered at Kampala Road plot 6/6A with a growing regional presence. The Bank offers a wide range of commercial banking and financial products and services, and prides itself on introducing innovative products and services based on the needs of its customers. We are seeking to recruit a competent and highly motivated individual with extensive experience and abilities to support business growth in the following position: JOB PURPOSE Support the Bank in the implementation of the staff welfare policy, payroll management and administration system in line with the HR policy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Implement payment of staff salaries, incentives, benefits, and other allowances in line with Policy. 2. Review, monitor & implement staff welfare, health & safety schemes in line with the Human Resource Management manual. 3. Implement and monitor staff insurance, medical schemes i.e., medical and GPA/Life in line with Human resource Management Manual. 4. Plan and conduct exit interview with staff leaving service and to establish cause & advise management on intervention in line with the Human Resource policy provisions. 5. Develop, implement, and monitor staff insurance, medical schemes policy. 6. Develop, monitor and implement staff pension schemes i.e. NSSF & other Benefits. 7. Coordinate and review the process of developing Bank annual leave plans. 8. Facilitate the processing of staff loans in line with credit and human resource policies. 9. Prepare and submit monthly quarterly and annual section reports in line with the division reporting format. 10. Update and maintain Human Resource Information system in line with HR policy 11. Follow-up on staff meetings, receive minutes of staff meetings and summarize issues for management attention.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
Minimum Education Qualification: 1. Degree in Business Administration/ or business-related field 2. Prior experience in Payroll Administration is required Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience.
Required Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities): 1. Knowledge & excellent use of Microsoft packages 2. Good understanding of the interconnectivities of functions and processes. 3. Generic industry and business awareness. 4. Knowledge of the Uganda labour laws. 5. Excellent problem solving and decision making. 6. Exhibit high integrity and ethical standards in accordance with our code of ethics & Business conduct. 7. Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, organizational and analytical skills. 8. Have an accurate eye for detail and a sense of urgency. 9. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
