Administrative Supervisors: Regional Coordinator (RC)
Location: Amlaha, MP, India

OVERVIEWAPPLICATION
Main purpose of position
1. The position will assist the Administrative Officer in leading the overall Admin and Finance Operations in Amlaha, India.
2. The position is responsible for ensuring that the ICARDA policies and procedures are carried out properly, and to provide general administrative and financial support to the staff.

The International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) is a treaty-based international non-profit research organization supported by CGIAR. ICARDA’s mission is to reduce poverty, enhance food, water, and nutritional security, as well as environmental health in the face of global challenges including climate change. We do this through innovative science, strategic partnerships, linking research to development and capacity development that take into account gender equality and the role of youth in transforming the dry areas. ICARDA works in partnership with governments, universities, civil society, national agricultural research organization, other CGIAR Research Centers, and the private sector. All CGIAR Centers are part of One CGIAR that will help ICARDA and CGIAR achieve better impact through more strategically integrated research, unified governance, an integrated structure and new research modalities across participating Research Centers. This transformation is supported by CGIAR donors who have committed to increased funding as a result of these reforms. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide general administrative support to the staff.
2. Provide adequate and timely logistical support for office operations and other activities.
3. Coordinate the administrative and logistics aspects of events, meetings, workshops, and travel, as required.
4. Manage and improve filing system ensuring safekeeping of confidential materials.
5. Processing all invoices for payments and managing records and receipts.
6. Be the petty cash custodian.
7. Organize and supervise regular maintenance and emergency response for technical services such as electricity, air conditioning or plumbing.
8. Ensure transport management complies with ICARDA standards and in particular that users are satisfied with the services, vehicles are well-maintained, and all vehicle documentation and comprehensive vehicle insurance is up to date.
9. Maintenance of an up-to-date logbook for all official vehicles.
10. Supervise drivers and Office Assistants.
11. Performing any other job assigned by the Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE
1. Bachelor's degree in business management or Commerce or equivalent, with a minimum of three years’ experience in secretarial work and office / administrative support.
2. Experience with an international organization will be an advantage.
3. Proficiency in the use of MS Office specially Word, Excel, Outlook.
4. Excellent command of spoken and written English and Hindi.

Terms of appointment, salary, and benefits
This is a nationally recruited position available for Indian nationals for which ICARDA offers an attractive compensation package including a competitive salary, medical insurance, 30 days of annual leave, five months’ maternity leave, 15 days’ paternity leave. The successful candidate will be offered an initial contract of 3 years. The contract will be renewable subject to continued need for the position, the availability of funds and satisfactory performance.
