JOB DESCRIPTION The project "Improving Basic Education and Vocational Training in Mozambique", funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, aims to support educational institutions in Inhambane and Sofala as well as selected vocational training providers in implementing consolidated approaches to quality basic education and vocational training. In the area of vocational education, the project advises 15 vocational training centers and institutes in the provinces of Maputo, Sofala, Nampula, Tete and Inhambane. The fields of action include strategic planning for the efficient management of vocational school facilities, the implementation of gender-sensitive vocational orientation and placement in employment, the systematization of the eSkills4Girls approach, the implementation of recommendations from the accreditation process, and the consolidation of successfully tested dual training courses. One of the vocational training centers supported is the Centro do Formação Profissional, CFP in Nacala.
YOUR TASKS As part of your service as a development worker, you will take on the following tasks: 1. Providing technical advice in setting up the management structure of the vocational training center 2. Support in the accreditation process of the vocational training center 3. Support in the establishment and implementation of gender-sensitive vocational orientation 4. Consulting in the creation of strategic development plans for effective management 5. Providing technical and strategic advice to the vocational school center in seeking funding and partnerships 6. Support for communication and PR of the vocational school center 7. Support in impact monitoring and knowledge management of the project

YOUR PROFILE 1. Completed (technical) university studies or professional qualification in business or vocational education, business administration, engineering sciences. 2. 5 years of work experience in vocational education 3. Networking skills, teamwork, structured work style with a high degree of self-organization and flexibility 4. International experience, ideally in Africa as well as intercultural communication skills 5. Good knowledge of Portuguese or very good knowledge of Spanish, good knowledge of English or German
