ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Coordinate and supervise all relevant programmes. 2. Create new programs; initiate new radio projects. 3. Develop, write, edit and broadcast radio programs. 4. Develop matrixes for implementation. 5. Ensure visibility to ECOWAS in Liberia and the sub-region. 6. Highlight ECOWAS collaboration with civil society groups and others. 7. Educate the public on the formation, duties, policies, protocols, programmes, activities, etc. of ECOWAS. 8. Supervise production staff and radio production activities. 9. Produce jingles and messages for the station and for ECOWAS major activities. 10. Take on extra assignments as deemed necessary by management. 11. Audition all programs for airing. 12. Plan and coordinate activities for effective radio coverage of special events, including 13. LIVE broadcasts whenever need arises 14. Coordinate the operations of radio in consultation with the Director, Communication. 15. Perform any other task as assigned by the supervisor.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 1. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Public Relations, Mass Communication or related field from a recognized University. 2. Seven (7) years responsible experience in journalism, strategic communications, public information, or international relations. 3. Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of strategy and guidelines for internal communications and the production of innovative platforms for the promotion of internal communication in ECOWAS. 4. Proven knowledge of communication, information and public relations and the ability to diplomatically handle sensitive situations with target audiences and cultivate productive relationships.
