JOB DESCRIPTION
To provide administrative support to the payroll function by ensuring that all payroll data, processes and associated administration and services are accurately delivered within the agreed deadlines.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll Processing
1. Reviews rosters, time sheets, wage and salary computation and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
2. Processes paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system.
3. Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records.
4. Generating reports for payments e.g., PAYE returns and other third parties
5. Maintain a proper document control system
6. Keep abreast with company policies and tax legislations that impact on remuneration
7. Monitor leave management to ensure compliance with policy and procedures.
8. Analyse leave utilisation trends to identify risks and recommend corrective actions.
9. Prepare reports, letters, and documents relative to this role.
10. To liaise with and give appropriate information and advice to clients as and when required; via email/telephone etc.
11. To assist with the general administration of work within the payroll team

Reporting, Payroll Systems Management and Maintenance
1. Compute wages and deductions and capture information on relevant systems
2. Record employee information, such as transfers and resignations, to maintain and update payroll records
3. To assist in the compilation of reports and records and assessment of data as may be required by the Supervisor
4. To assist in the compilation, maintenance and analysis of client personnel records
5. To assist in the compilation, maintenance and analysis of client payroll records
6. To use computerised systems e.g., SAP, Word, Excel, Outlook and databases, to input and manage data and produce required documentation

Query Resolution
1. Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retrospective increases
2. Capture and implement legal instructions against employees’ salaries to ensure compliance with the relevant legislations IDC/HO/HC Payroll Administrator
3. Respond to queries from employees in an accurate and timeous fashion.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Qualification
1. Matric
2. Relevant HR Diploma
3. Registration with relevant professional body (Will be an added advantage)

Experience
1. A minimum of 4 years’ experience in payroll administration in complex environments.
2. Knowledge of SAP HR Module
3. Knowledge of relevant legislation BCEA, LRA, Skills Development, Provident Fund Tax Act, COIDA etc.
