POSITION OVERVIEW
1. The Business development manager is responsible for driving growth and revenue generation by identifying new business opportunities and developing strategic initiatives to expand the company’s market presence, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s revenue through various commercial activities including sales, marketing, business development, and customer relationship management.
2. This role plays a crucial part in the organization’s growth and profitability.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(DUTIES)
Market Analysis, Lead Generation and Opportunity Identification:
1. Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities, market trends, and potential growth areas.
2. Identify target markets, industries, and client segments for business development efforts.
3. Generate leads and prospects through various channels, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events.
4. Qualify leads based on their fit with the company's products, services, and target market.

Client Relationship Management:
1. Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing clients, partners, and stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities.
2. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.

Proposal Development and Presentation:
1. Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients, highlighting the company's value proposition, products, and services.
2. Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions and proposals tailored to client needs and objectives.

Contract Negotiation and Closing:
1. Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients to secure new business opportunities and partnerships.
2. Close sales and achieve revenue targets in line with company objectives and financial goals.



Strategic Planning and Partnership Development:
1. Develop and implement strategic business development plans and initiatives to drive growth and expansion.
2. Identify and pursue strategic partnerships, alliances, and collaborations to enhance the company's market presence and capabilities.

Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
1. Forecast sales projections, track performance metrics, and report on progress towards sales targets and objectives.
2. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on business development activities, results, and opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
KSA’S (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES)
1. Excellent planning skills; ability to effectively manage priorities for self and team to meet business requirements and deadlines in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
2. Strong Analytical and strategic thinking with the capacity to identify opportunities and develop actionable plans.
3. Excellent communication and Negotiation skill with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients and partners.
4. Deep knowledge of sports products, trends and market dynamics.
5. Attention to details.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
(minimum)
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. A Master's degree or
2. MBA is a plus

REQUIREMENTS
1. 5-10 years experienced in sales as a proactive/outbound Business Development Manager or Account Executive.
2. A proven track record of consistently hitting your monthly sales targets
3. A continuing desire to learn and grow to improve your sales skills
4. A can-do and problem-solving attitude necessary to thrive in our fast-paced company
5. Demonstrate advanced sales process, techniques and methodology
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as exceptional presentation skills
7. Good software skills (basic knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of Salesforce
8. A passion for, and knowledge of, the retail, technology, beauty, interior design and hospitality industries
9. Have a passion for sports and outdoor activities is desirable but not essential.
