MAIN JOB DESCRIPTION
DEPARTMENT: Programs/Event Management
LOCATION: Lagos State

POSITION OVERVIEW
1. As the Head of hospitality, you will be responsible for creating exceptional experiences for players, spectators, sponsors, and other stakeholders attending the football events and tournaments.
2. You will oversee all aspects of hospitality, including venue management, event planning, catering, guest services, and sponsors activation, to ensure the highest level of satisfaction and engagement.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(DUTIES)
Hospitality Strategy and Planning:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive hospitality strategy aligned with the league's objectives and brand identity.
2. Define key hospitality goals, objectives, and performance indicators to measure success and effectiveness.

Venue Management:
1. Select, contract, and manage event venues, ensuring they meet the requirements for size, location, amenities, and accessibility.
2. Coordinate logistics, setup, and breakdown of venue infrastructure, including seating, signage, and facilities.

Event Planning and Execution:
1. Plan and execute flag football events, tournaments, and game days, ensuring smooth operation and seamless guest experiences.
2. Coordinate event logistics, including scheduling, staffing, transportation, and security arrangements.
3. Oversee event production, entertainment, and programming to enhance the overall atmosphere and excitement.

Catering and Food Services:
1. Arrange catering services and concessions vendors, selecting menus, managing food preparation, and ensuring quality and variety.
2. Coordinate hospitality suites, VIP lounges, and special dining experiences for sponsors, partners, and VIP guests.

Guest Services and Experience:
1. Provide exceptional guest services and hospitality experiences, anticipating and exceeding the needs and expectations of attendees.
2. Implement guest feedback mechanisms and surveys to gather feedback and insights for continuous improvement.

Sponsor Activation and Hospitality:
1. Collaborate with sponsors and partners to develop hospitality activations and experiences that align with their branding and marketing objectives.
2. Coordinate sponsor hospitality areas, VIP perks, and branding opportunities to maximize sponsor engagement and return on investment.

Budget Management and Financial Oversight:
1. Develop and manage hospitality budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
2. Monitor expenses, track revenues, and prepare financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
KSA’S (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES)
1. Strong understanding of hospitality principles, practices, and trends in the sports and entertainment industry.
2. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
3. Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on attention to detail and problem-solving.
4. Creative thinking and innovation mindset, with the ability to conceptualize and execute memorable hospitality experiences.
5. Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and empower hospitality staff.
6. Proficiency in event management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
(minimum)
1. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
2. Proven experience in hospitality management, event planning, or sports hospitality, preferably in a leadership role.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. 10 years of experience in hospitality, including 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role
2. Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or closely related field
3. Experience coordinating large, multifaceted events
4. Experience negotiating with vendors
5. Superb communication and organizational skills
