ROLE OVERVIEW
Our Client, a fast-growing restaurant and food outlet with a wide array of menus ranging from the African dishes to continental cuisine served deliciously to her amiable customers is looking to hire an Accountant who will be responsible for preparing and analyzing a variety of financial statements for accuracy and compliance in addition to reviewing and auditing the restaurant’s transactional activity and provide communication and general support.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Providing financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data
2. Preparing asset, liability and capital account entries by analyzing account information
3. Documentation of financial transaction by updating account data
4. Recommending financial actions and summarizing the current financial status
5. Collecting data, preparing balance sheet, and profit and loss statement
6. Handling financial transactions by auditing documents
7. Maintaining accounting control by preparing policies and procedures
8. Directing accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering to queries
9. Coordinating financial issues by collecting and analyzing accounting data
10. Securing financial data by completing database backup
11. Maintaining financial security by following internal controls
12. Preparing payment by verifying documentation and requesting disbursement

| REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
1. Extensive knowledge about the data entry management
2. Punctual, reliable and must have strong communication skill
3. Knowledge about MS office, excel, and Adobe Acrobat
4. Able to work in a team and produce quality output under tight deadlines
5. Strong verbal and oral communication skills
6. Self-motivated and strong analytical skills
7. Attention to detail, prioritization skill and time management
8. Quick learner with a positive attitude
9. Experience in retail or restaurant accounting
10. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
11. Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience
12. Knowledge of good accounting software used in restaurants will be an added advantage
