ABOUT Our Client, a fast-growing restaurant and food outlet with a wide array of menus ranging from the African dishes to continental cuisine served deliciously to her amiable customers is looking to hire;a cook will prepare meals and follow establishment recipes. Duties will include preparing ingredients, adhering to the restaurant menu, following food health and safety procedures and delivering food in a fast-paced environment.
JOB DESCRIPTION: 1. Setting up, cleaning, and organizing work stations 2. Preparing ingredients for the shift; washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc. 3. Preparing oven, utensils, and grill for shift 4. Taking orders from wait staff or computerized system 5. Cooking order according to food health and safety standards 6. Recommending ideas for specials or seasonal dishes 7. Handling multiple food orders at one time 8. Monitoring multiple food orders as new orders arrive 9. Dressing order for presentation 10. Ensuring each guest order has the correct food and sides 11. Delivering food order to wait staff in a timely manner 12. Storing all food properly 13. Sanitizing and cleaning work stations and utensils 14. Reordering stock and food supplies 15. Monitoring other cooks and team members 16. Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed

1. Able to work in a fast-paced environment 2. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently 3. Physical endurance to stand for an entire shift 4. Self-motivated and self-directed 5. Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks 6. Able to quickly memorize complex or multiple orders 7. High school degree or equivalent 8. Previous experience as a busboy, washer, waiter, cook, or relevant work experience 9. Able to work early mornings, nights, and weekends 10. Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend through shift 11. Able to read and write
