DEPARTMENT/DIVISION/UNIT: Human Capital Management JOB CLASSIFICATION Senior Supervisor LOCATION: Lagos REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: • Functionally Reports To: GHHCM • Administratively Reports To: HR Manager WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: • Internal HCM • External All departments JOB OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE OF JOB 1. The HR Generalist will manage the day-to-day operations of the Human Capital Management department, ensuring the smooth running of HR processes and functions. 2. The HR Generalist will handle responsibilities in various HR areas including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance with labor laws
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES Recruitment & Onboarding 1. Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs. 2. Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications. 3. Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and extending job offers. 4. Manage the onboarding process for new hires.
Employee Relations 1. Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and issues. 2. Handle employee grievances and ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies. 3. Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies. 4. Conduct regular employee surveys to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement
Performance Management 1. Assist in the management of the performance review process. 2. Provide support to employees and managers regarding performance-related issues. 3. Participate in the development of performance improvement plans.
Training and Development 1. Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses. 2. Organize training sessions for employees. 3. Administering and maintaining HR training programs and company policies on topics such as employee benefits administration, compensation, payroll processing, employee performance evaluations. 4. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of training programs.
Policies and Compliance 1. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labour laws and regulations. 2. Maintain and update HR policies and employee handbook. 3. Stay current with changes in labour law and regulations.
HR Administration 1. Collaborate with other members of the HCM department to develop and implement strategies that support the company's goals and objectives 2. Coordinate employee engagement initiatives. 3. Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form. 4. Coordinate exit management. 5. Maintain HR information system records and compile reports. 6. Ensure the accuracy of employee data in HR systems. 7. Assist in developing and implementing HR initiatives. 8. Participate in HR projects, such as job fairs, employee recognition programs, etc. 9. Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education Qualification Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Professional Qualification HR certification (e.g., CIPM, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is required.
Experience 1. Minimum of 3 - 6 years of HR experience. 2. Familiarity with the engineering industry and its trends is an added advantage.
