The Office of the Vice President, Policy and Strategy (VPPS) is to provide support to the VPPS in delivering the mandate of driving AIIB’s strategic direction and programming; overseeing the implementation of the operational policies and procedures for AIIB’s infrastructure investment portfolio (non-treasury) including compliance with environmental, social, procurement and financial management requirements; managing the administrative budget; and managing operational partnerships through institutional engagement and cooperation, resource mobilization and administrating special fund resources.
ROLE OVERVIEW The Office of the VPPS seeks an Officer or a Senior Officer to support the operation of the Office and report to the VPPS, with the following main responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Lead the operations of the Office of the Vice President, Policy and Strategy 2. Coordinate the development and execution of the departmental business plan and facilitate the timely delivery of business objectives within timelines, budget and staffing resources. 3. Serve as business management focal point for programs related to internal process management, IT, records management, facilities management, event management, business continuity and other systems/processes related to VP front office setup and operations. 4. Lead the efforts for the preparation of briefing notes, presentations, and other materials as needed. 5. Organize internal meetings and monitor follow up actions. 6. Lead the internal team building and facilitate information sharing. 7. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
1. Master’s degree or equivalent preferably in business administration, economics, or public administration. 2. At least 5 years (for Officer) to 10 years (Senior Officer) of relevant professional experience in business management. 3. Work experience in multilateral development banks, or financial institutions with familiarity with policies and strategies is an advantage. 4. Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities required to build working relationships across teams; excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate in a clear and succinct style. 5. Fluency in English is a must. 6. Self-starter, self-driven and proactive individual with initiative. 7. Demonstrated experience, judgment, and leadership to execute multiple and diverse work programs. 8. Ability to adapt and be multi-tasking based on business needs to bridge resource/skills gaps and keep several business initiatives moving forward.
