JOB PURPOSE: 1. The Credit Manager will be required to evaluate trade finance proposals and conduct detailed due diligence, credit and financial analysis, risk scoring, and produce a risk-focused Credit Memorandum (CM) to support sound credit decisions under the guidance of a Senior Credit Manager. 2. This role requires entry-level Credit Professional with responsibilities to undertake thorough financial and credit risk analysis in trade finance transactions and devising suitable structures and security packages to mitigate those risks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Perform credit evaluation on proposed transactions for Corporates, State Owned Enterprise, Banks & Financial Institutions and SMEs, by conducting detailed due diligence including financial, business and structure risks. 2. Identify, measure, mitigate and report risks in any potential transactions to adequately safeguard ITFCs financial position and mitigate potential losses. 3. In coordination with the concerned Relationship Manager and other concerned staff, obtain all business, financial and any other related information, to enable comprehensive risk assessment and formulation of sound credit opinion on the client. 4. Based on detailed assessment, calculate counter party risk rating - Probability of Default (PD) and Loss-Given Default (LGD), recommend exposure limits and appropriate security and covenant packages, devise sound and robust financing structures on complex trade transactions, and assess proposed collateral while ensuring compliance to the relevant policies & guidelines 5. Prepare credit memorandum, jointly with Relationship Managers and other concerned staff, and provide write-up for the credit assessment sections highlighting associated business, financial and structure risks, financing structure, proposed collateral, risk matrix as well as risk rating and exposure limit. 6. Present the Credit and Risk aspects of trade finance deals to ITFC internal Committees in order to secure timely credit decisions for effective deal implementation. 7. Monitor ITFC non-sovereign portfolio and perform periodic credit review and report any deterioration in financial standing of the clients, collateral value, business and country risk for appropriate credit decisions. 8. Create and regularly update required credit files and data on relevant systems and tools.
