ABOUT

ROLE OVERVIEW
1. AIIB is looking for a Technical and Application Architect responsible for designing and implementing a high-level framework for application and technical architecture.
2. Also, create and manage a centralized architecture repository for storing artifacts and using standard modeling language to document the architecture in the repository.
3. Additionally, the architect will lead the implementation and maintenance of a centralized integration platform facilitating efficient integration among different digital systems.
4. The role will serve as a member of the Information Technology Department (ITD). This role is onsite in Beijing, China.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement the application and technical architecture framework and ensure the effective execution of the framework.
2. Establish and consistently update a centralized architecture repository tailored to accommodate the specific artifacts pertinent to application and technical architecture, ensuring seamless accessibility, version control, and collaboration, facilitating efficient management of architectural assets, and promoting architectural alignment.
3. Define and apply standard architecture modeling practices to document the application and technical architecture into the repository, ensuring consistency and clarity while enhancing stakeholder alignment, facilitating informed decision-making, and driving organizational agility and competitiveness.
4. Lead the implementation of a centralized integration platform, establishing governance processes, guidelines, and rules to ensure integration quality and promote efficient and stable integration among diverse digital systems.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide relevant guidance and support to architecture and integration-related topics.
6. Establish, communicate, and apply best-practice methodologies in integration. Apply the best pattern for each integration scenario to gain the best performance, availability, reusability, security and maintainability.
7. Lead the strategic planning and execution of the centralized integration platform, overseeing the operation of integration workflows, and collaborating closely with relevant teams to design, develop, test, and deploy integration workflows under established architecture principles, guidelines, and rules.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
1. Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in the IT domain, focusing on application/infrastructure maintenance and delivery, preferably in multilateral development banks or top-tier global financial institutions.
2. At least 3 years of professional experience as an Application/Technical Architect or similar role, demonstrating a successful track record in delivering complex digital systems.
3. Proven experience in designing solutions that integrate application, integration, data, and business layers, preferably within a Cloud environment.
4. Hands-on experience in architecture design, modeling, and data mapping.
5. Experience in procuring and managing vendor services.
6. Strong knowledge of popular architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, BIZBOK, DAMA-DMBOK, and Component Business Model (CBM), with demonstrated application of these frameworks in previous work.
7. Solid understanding and experience in IT infrastructure, particularly in cloud (AWS, Azure) and virtualization platforms (VMware), operating systems, databases, and middleware.
8. Expertise in hybrid cloud environments and proficiency in cloud technologies to deliver integration capabilities.
9. Familiarity with mainstream integration platforms and ArchiMate modeling language is a plus.
10. Certifications such as TOGAF, Certified Business Architect (CBA), or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) will be a plus.
11. Ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and engage them effectively in architecture and integration design and implementation.
12. Up-to-date knowledge of new architecture concepts, emerging technologies, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to various stakeholders to drive results.
13. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English for effective communication with stakeholders across the organization.
14. A Master’s degree or higher in related fields from a reputable university (e.g., computer science, information management) is preferred. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in the mentioned fields from a reputable university, supplemented with relevant certifications, will be considered.
