Requisition ID 1612 Posted 08/07/2024 Closing on: August 28, 2024 at 11:59pm (China Standard Time) Based in: Shanghai, China Target Market: Global recruitment ABOUT The New Development Bank (“NDB” or the “Bank”) is inviting applications for the position of Executive Assistant to the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. This position is at Principal Professional level (Grade 8) in the New Development Bank. ROLE OVERVIEW 1. The Executive Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in all areas of their work to achieve the corporate, strategic and operational objectives of the Bank. 2. The Executive Assistant will also play a key liaison role with all internal and external stakeholders of the NDB. 3. The role offers incumbents an excellent opportunity to acquire a holistic understanding of development banking, strategy implementation, risk management, policy making, global challenges such as climate change, sustainability, infrastructure financing, and contribute to multilateral engagements. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES will include, but not be limited to the following: 1. Provide research, analytical, and operational support on all matters as required by the VP and CFO to support the preparation and execution of the strategy and decision making in the Bank. 2. Liaison with and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders of the Bank. 3. Coordinate with all offices within the Bank as required and facilitate cross functional collaboration within the Bank to maximize operational efficiency. 4. Support the VP and CFO with preparation of agenda and follow-up on management decisions with appropriate stakeholders. 5. Contribute to the preparation of major documents for the VP and CFO. 6. Coordinate across the institution to ensure that relevant inputs are obtained in a timely manner for decision making by the VP and CFO. 7. Prepare the correspondence and memos on behalf of the VP and CFO including drafting speeches in alignment with the overall strategy and objectives of the Bank. 8. Other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
1. Master’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant field from a reputed university or a professionally qualified accountant. 2. Minimum of 9 years of relevant professional experience in a multilateral development bank or equivalent, global financial services organisation, or a large corporate enterprise or the Governments of member countries. 3. Relevant in-depth and hands-on experience in one or more areas in the field of Corporate finance and investment banking, Treasury, Portfolio Management, Finance, Budget and Accounting. 4. Relevant experience in a multi-cultural work environment fostering a climate of team work and collaboration. 5. Proven experience in working under stringent deadlines and maintaining strict confidentiality. 6. Problem solving, communication, conflict management and interpersonal skills with high resilience and drive in achieving objectives and goals. 7. Desire to challenge the status quo and bring in new ideas, innovation and approaches. 8. Strong interpersonal, diplomatic, negotiation, team play and organisational skill sets. 9. Ability to juggle multiple priorities, work under pressure and meet deadlines. 10. Self-motivated, service-oriented and detail-attentive. 11. Exercising discretion and maintaining integrity of sensitive information. 12. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in English language.
