JOB DETAILS Line Manager title: Value Chain Officer Grade: P2 Direct reports: None Department: AfCFTA – Private Sector Unit Location: Accra, Ghana
JOB SUMMARY The Analyst will support the Value Chain Officers and Value Chain Leads in conducting research and analysis across different value chains.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The role of the Analyst is the following (on a need basis): 1. Assist the Value Chain Officers in ensuring delivery of interventions to scale production and trade in selected agricultural value chains 2. Assist the Monitoring and Evaluation Expert, Finance and Investment Expert, Women, Youth, and MSMEs Lead, and Agriculture Lead through complete ownership of assigned workstreams
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Under close guidance from the Value Chain Officers, the Analyst will perform the following duties and responsibilities: 1. Conduct research to gather data 2. Conduct analysis on various interventions 3. Liaise with working team members of private sector organizations where necessary to gather 4. information 5. Review implementation plans and status reports for potential issues 6. Provide analytical support in problem solving and solution modelling

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS A University bachelor’s or a diploma in Management, International Relations, Economics, Development Studies, Projects/Programme Management, Business Administration or a related field.
Work experience 1. For those with undergraduate degree will possess at least three years relevant professional experience and those with a diploma will possess plus five (5) years of relevant work experience in experience in transformation, PMO. 2. An international experience would be an added advantage.
Technical skills and behavioural competencies The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following core competencies: 1. Ability to analyse and research information 2. Strong problem-solving skills 3. Strong project management skills 4. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills 5. Good report writing skills 6. Ability to work as part of a team 7. Exceptionally high level of motivation 11. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. 12. Proficiency in one of the AU working languages (English, French, Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish and Swahili), 13. fluency in another AU language is an added advantage
