THE BANK:

THE COMPLEX:
The People and Talent Management Complex (PTVP), will retain overall responsibility for attracting, developing, motivating, and retaining a strong complement of professionals, support staff and contingent staff to deliver the business of the Bank into the future. The PTVP Complex is responsible for ensuring effective systems and controls for people and talent management from talent sourcing to retirement. The PTVP Complex is also responsible for the effective administration of the Bank’s benefit plans (medical and staff retirement) and ensuring the financial sustainability of these plans.

THE HIRING DEPARTMENT:
The Talent, Performance and Staff Development Department (PTCE) provides strategic leadership in the effective delivery of a range of human resources management functions under the Bank’s People Strategy 2021-2025, namely Talent Management, Performance Management, Recognition, Learning and Career Development. It leads the effort to develop and transform the Bank into a knowledge-driven Bank, promote human resources policies that support talent development, drive a performance-driven culture and ensure the competitiveness of the Bank as the employer of choice for those working on Africa’s growth and development.

THE POSITION:
1. The Talent Management and Mobility Assistant will provide support in the design and implementation of the mobility guidelines, programs, tools, and systems in alignment to the business objectives of the Bank.
2. S/he will also support other talent management initiatives of the Division.

KEY FUNCTIONS:
Under the Supervision of the Division Manager, PTCE.1, and the close supervision with the Mobility Officer, the Mobility and Recognition Assistant will perform the following:
Under the general supervision of the Division Manager, PTCE.1, and direct supervision of the Talent & Career Management Officer, the Talent Management and Mobility Assistant will perform the following:
1. Assist in the coordination of mobility assignments of staff across the Bank.
2. Assist in monitoring and analyzing key metrics related to the mobility work programme.
3. Assist in the implementation of the Bank’s Mobility Guidelines.
4. Prepare communications related to Mobility.
5. Assist in maintaining accurate records of deployment and contribute to generate reports on the mobility program.
6. Respond to clients and provide information related to the implementation of the Mobility Guidelines.
7. Assist in coordinating with relevant division/department/complex to support the streamlined implementation of the program and help in resolving issues
8. Assist in the budget, logistics and other administrative tasks of the mobility work programme.
9. Provide support to other Division initiatives such as Recognition and Awards Programme, Coaching Programme and performance related programmes.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
COMPETENCIES (skills, experience and knowledge):
1. Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
2. Have a minimum of Five (5) years of relevant experience in human resources.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
4. Proficient in utilizing HR information systems and related technology tools to streamline processes and ensure accurate data management.
5. Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills
6. Good written and oral skills in French or English with a good working knowledge of the other language
7. Competence in the use of Bank standard software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access). Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
