ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE 1. Master’s Degree in Economics, International Development Policy, International Trade, International Trade Law or another appropriate related discipline. 2. A higher qualification or an additional professional diploma will be an added advantage. 3. A minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressively responsible professional work experience out of which eight (8) years of this should be at managerial level managing professional staff in support of – or within – a national, regional, continental, or international organization. 4. Experience as a negotiator or technical advisor in regional integration or trade negotiations is desirable. 5. Experience with Trade capacity building or project management will be an added advantage. Required Skills 1. Management experience and ability to relate and facilitate interactions with others; 2. TENURE OF APPOINTMENT: The appointment will be made on a regular term contract for a period of three (3) years, of which the first twelve months shall be considered as a probationary period. Thereafter, the contract will be for a period of two years renewable, subject to satisfactory performance and deliverables.

REMUNERATION: Indicative basic salary of US$78,138.00 (D1 Step1) per annum plus other related entitlements e.g. Post adjustment ( 57% of basic salary), Housing allowance US$ 27,290.88.00 (per annum), and education allowance (100% of tuition and other education-related expenses for every eligible dependent up to a maximum of US$ 10,000.00 per child per annum), for internationally recruited staff and a maximum of $3,300 per child per annum for locally recruited staff.
