Location Dar es salaam Department Card Operations Employment Type Full-Time Minimum Experience Manager/Supervisor
JOB PURPOSE Manager Card Operations of Banks/'s card products in line with the Bank’s overall strategy. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS Operations: 1. Process Card related transactions e.g. such as verification in the core banking and related systems. 2. Manage Visa card settlement (locals and internationals) and mobile banking related transactions 3. Manage prepaid Visa (MasterCard) 4. Liaise with relevant vendors in resolving as cards and issues. 5. Manage card ordering process e.g. upload of card data, receiving from vendors and dispatching to branches Compliance: 1. Ensure effective implementation of Bank’s operations, procedures and policies regarding card products Customer Service: 1. Attend to customer/branch queries/complaints related to alternate channels Risk Management: 1. Coordinate the review of risk control self-assessments (RCSA) for cards in liaise with Senior Manager Centralized Operations and Head of Risk and perform monthly and quarterly testing of indicator (KRI), RCSA process. 2. Develop, update and maintain risk procedures and systems with respect to risk identification, risk assessment, risk monitoring, risk mitigation strategies and risk reporting. 3. Ensure effective adoption and utilization of risk management tools 4. Drive remediation of risk management exceptions identified during audit or risk reviews 5. Promote risk management culture Audit Compliance: 1. Respond to Audit (internal and external) queries related to alternate channels Regulatory Compliance: 1. Manage regulators’ queries related to alternate channels in coordination with branches
Administration: 1. Provide management reports to senior management for board updates e.g. sales and performance reports in regard to products under card 2. Work in liaison with ICT to ensure system uptime to support business and availability 3. Support the head of operations in preparing ABC related budget for board approval by providing inputs 4. In charge of overall card staff management e.g. day to day supervision, leave management, training, mentoring, coaching, performance appraisal etc. within the unit 5. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor from time to time
