DEPARTMENT/UNIT: Operations JOB GRADE: REPORTS TO: Managing Director JOB TYPE: Permanent SUPERVISES: Operations Team DETAILED JOB PROFILE Job Purpose 1. The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for the overall management and operations of the client. 2. The COO will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure efficient execution of strategic initiatives, and drive operational excellence across the organization.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Operational Management: 1. Oversee the daily operations of the bank, ensuring efficient and effective execution of all activities. 2. Develop and implement operational strategies and policies. 3. Monitor and evaluate operational performance, identifying areas for improvement. 4. Manage the bank's branch network and agency banking operations.
Strategic Planning: 1. Collaborate with the Chief, Strategy & Corporate Performance in consultation with the MD and executive team to develop and implement the bank's strategic plan. 2. Identify and analyze market trends and opportunities. 3. Develop and execute business plans for new products and services.
Risk Management: 1. Establish and oversee the bank's risk management framework. 2. Identify and mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks. 3. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Human Resources: 1. Oversee the bank's human resource function, including recruitment, training, and development. 2. Foster a positive and inclusive work culture. 3. Manage employee relations and performance.
Technology: 1. Ensure the effective use of technology to support the bank's operations. 2. Implement and maintain the bank's IT infrastructure. 3. Drive digital transformation initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field. 2. Master's degree or MBA preferred. 3. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry. 4. Proven track record in managing large-scale operations. 5. Strong leadership and management skills. 6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
