GIZ International Services is planning to apply for an EU funded project: “Compete Ghana" - Technical Assistance to the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MoTI) in the Implementation of the Stepping Stone Economic Partnership Agreement (iEPA) And Related Accompanying Measures.
The overall objective of the Compete Ghana programme is, in the context of the Ghana beyond aid vision, to improve economic governance and business environment and to maximise the benefits of the EPA for Ghana.
The specific objective is to strengthen Ghana’s administration capacities in the implementation of the EPA as well as to strengthen the competitiveness in Ghana and enhance her integration into the regional and international trading system, in coherence with Ghana |
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
YOUR PROFILE Qualifications and skills 1. The key expert should have a Master’s degree in Public Administration, Management, Human Resources Management or allied subjects; or equivalent professional experience of at least 2 years in addition to the requested general professional experience; 2. Fluency in written and spoken English; 3. Computer skills: word processing, spreadsheet and power point presentations.
General professional experience At least 8 years of experience in designing organizational structures, rules and regulation, Human Resource and Financial processes, institutional strengthening of Central/National or State/sub-National Government entities.
Specific professional experience 1. Robust knowledge of the latest theories and concepts in institutional strengthening and human resource capacity building; 2. Experience in institutional building projects related to strengthening capacities for implementation of bilateral trade agreements; 3. Experience on EU funded projects is an asset; 4. Experience in Ghana and the West Africa region is an asset.
LOCATION INFORMATION Location of the programme will be in Accra at the EPA Secretariat hosted in the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Travel may be required at the regional and district levels, as well as outside Ghana, especially in the case of the study visits.
The intended start date is June 2019 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 36 months from this date.
